Bc it known that wc,Joi1N MARTINO, JAcon Besserer, and JouN Connie, of thc city and county of Phila` lelphia, and State of' Pennsylvania, have originated a new Design for Cooking-Stoves, of which the following s a full, clear, and exact description, reference being had to the accompanying photographs, making a part of his specification. In the accompanying photographs- Figure 1 is a perspective view of the stove.

Figure 2 is a face view of the back-plate D.

Like letters in all the figures indicate the same parts.

On the sides, A, are the oven-doors, B, which have a raised panel, d, of elliptical form, surrounded by a rreath, a, which is on the flat surface of the door. `Within the wreath, and on the raised surface, is an egg- Joulding, b. In the middle of the panel there is a rope-moulding, c, surrounded by long beads, d, and dots, alternately arranged. The panels C of the small doors B of the sides A are similar to those of the doors i, with the exception that they have not the' wreath a, beads d, and dots e, and that they have corner ornaients,f, on their [lat surface. The panels C" of the fire-doors B" are similar to the panels of the small idc doors B', with the exception that they have not the rope-moulding c. The back-plato D, shown detached a f g. 2, has a panel, 0"', similar to the panel C of the door B, with thc exception of the rope-moulding, nd the addition of the small ornaments g projecting outward from the wreath a, and vertical ornaments g'. Ihc feet E have an elliptical moulding, h', and a rutile, i, at top, at each side of the wreath. The stopper F as an ornament, j, running from end to end. The wings on each side of the feed-door G have small ornaments, .I The pper front H has an ornament, l, running up and down on each stile m. The panel I, on the lower )il of the sides A, has the name of the firm, Orr, Painter St Co." There is an ornament, n, at each end of the anel on the flat surface of the side, and running wave ornaments around the name. The top rails of the sides .have a scroll or ornamental name-plate. The name of the stove, Excelsior Penn," is also on the front, immeiutely over the fire-doors B. The date of thc patent is on the feed-door G.

What we claim as our invention, and desire to secure by Letters Patent, is

The design for cooking-stoves, as shown and described.
