SAMUEL O. IVILBOR, OF LITTLE COMPTON, RIIODE ISLAND.
DESIGN FOR A DRIVING-CRANK.
SPECIFICATION forming part of Design No. 29,297, dated August 30, 1898.
Application filed August 3, 1898. Serial No. 687,646- Term of patent 14 years.
.which shall be both useful and ornamental.
The leading feature of the design resides in an approximately straight bar provided at its terminals with openings therein and at an intermediate point with a widened flat portion having oppositely-located rounded lobes projected beyond the side edges of the bar and provided therein with perforations.
A minor feature of the design is in the bar having at opposite sides of the intermediate widened flat portion separate straight arms disposed in different parallel planes.
In the drawings, Figure 1 is a perspective View of a driving-crank embodying the herein-described design. Fig. 2 is a rear elevation thereof. Fig. Sisalongitudinal sectional view on the line 3 3 of Fig. 2.
Referring to the accompanying drawings, the numeral 1 designates an elongated bar provided with the separate approximately straight arms 2 and 3, arranged in longitudinal alinement in diiferent parallel planes.
"At the terminals of each straight arm thereof the bar is provided therein with a circular opening or perforation 4, and at the juncture of the two arms the said bar is provided with a widened fiat portion 5. This widened flat portion 5 is provided with the diametrically opposite rounded lobes 6, which project beyond the side edges of the bar and are provided therein with the circular openings or perforations 7.
