FREDERICK A. IVES, 0F CHESHIRE, CONNECTICUT, ASSIGNOR TO THE CHESHIRE MANUFACTURING COMPANY, OF SAME PLACE.
DESIGN FOR A HOOK FOR GARMENT-CLASPS.
SPECIFICATION forming part of Design No. 28,561, dated May 10, 1898.
Application filed September 30, 1897. Serial No. 653,654. Term of patent 14 years.
To all whom it may concern:
Be it known that I, FREDERICK A. IVES, of Cheshire, in the county of New Haven and State of Connecticut, have invented a new Design for Hooks for Garment-Clasps; and I do hereby declare the following, when taken in connection with the accompanying drawin g and the letters of reference marked thereon, to be a full, clear, and exact description of the same, and which said drawing constitutes part of this specification, and represents a perspective view of a hook embodying my design.
This invention relates to a design for hooks for garment-clasps such as are commonly employed at the Waistbands of trousers; and the design consists in the configuration as hereinafter described, and shown in the accompanyin g illustration.
As herein shown, the design consists of a plate A, formed with a wide tongue B at one end, which is turned over, so as to stand substantially parallel with the body, and at the opposite end with prongs C C, which form the characteristic feature of this design. The body of the plate is also formed with a large perforation D and small perforations E E at the ends adjacent to the prongs C C. The portion of the body forming the tongue will also be formed with a slot I all as shown in the accompanying illustration.
I claim- The design for a hook for garment-clasps, as herein shown and described.
