mo mwmomn n c UNITED STATES PATENT OFFICE.
MORRIS A. IIEIMANN, OF ST. LOUIS, MISSOURI.
DESIGN FOR A DISPLAY-RACK.
SPECIFICATION forming part of Design No. 27,228, dated June 15, 1897.
Application filed April 19, 1897. Serial No. 632,870. Term of patent 14 years.
T at whmn it may concern:
Be it known that I, MORRIS A. IIEIMANN, of the city of St. Louis, State of Missouri, have invented a new and original Design for Display-Racks, of which the following is a full, clear, and exact description, reference being had to the accompanying drawings, forming a part hereof.
Figure 1 is a view in elevation, showing my improved design for display-racks. Fig. 2 is a top plan view.
As shown in the drawings, the leading or material feature of my design consists of the disk-shaped body 3, mounted in a horizontal plane and having the beads 4 and 5 projecting, respectively, from the upper and lower edges of its periphery, the body 6, which is in the form of a segment of a sphere, resting upon the disk-shaped body 3, the arms 7, projccting horizontally and radially from the disk-shaped body 3, the ends of said arms intersecting said disk-shaped body 3 between the beads i and 5, and the arms 8, projecting from the segmental body 6.
Small spherical bodies 9 are attached to the outer ends of the arms 7 and 8, and the diskshapcd body 3 is supported by the post 10, which post is a straight cylindrical body intersecting the lower side of the disk-shaped body 3 at approximately its center and having the series of beads 11 formed upon its lower end. Below the beads 11, which are substantiallyuniform in size and extend horizontally around the post 10, is a larger bead 12, formed parallel with said beads 11. The bead 12 rests upon the post 13, which is conical or tapering, being larger at its lower end than at its upper end. The lower end of the post 13 is slightly reduced in size, and the head 14 is formed, and below the bead 14 is a cylindrical portion 15, the upper portion of which is straight and the lower portion of which flares outwardly. The cylindrical portion 15 rests upon the hemispherical portion 16, which in turn rests upon the cylindrical portion 17. The cylindrical portion 18 is somewhat larger than the cylindrical portion 17 and supports said cylindrical portion 17, and in turn is supported by the base 19, the lower part of said base being disk-shaped and the upper part having conical sides and a flat top, upon which flat top the cylindrical portion 18 rests.
I elaim- The design fora displayrack, substantially as herein shown and described.
In testimony whereof I aifix my signature in presence of two witnesses.
MORRIS A. I-IEIMANN. \Vitnesses:
