To all whom it may 007100771.
Be it known that 1, DAVID \VALKER, a citizen of the United States, residing at Newark, in the county of Essex and State of New Jersey, have invented and produced a new and original Design for Stair-CarpetButtons; and I do hereby declare the following to be a full, clear, and exact description of the invention, such as will enable others skilled in the art to which it appertains to make and use the same, reference being had to the accompanying drawings, and to letters of reference marked thereon, which form a part of this specification.
In said drawings, Figure 1 isa front elevation of my newly-designed stair-carpet button, and Fig. '2 is a section of the same on line ac.
The leading feature of my new design consists of a stair-carpet button having on the face thereof star-shape ornamentations disposed in an annular series around the center thereof.
In said drawings, (1 indicates the stair-carpet button,and b the central perforation thereof. On the face of the said button, disposed around the said central perforation, are an nnlar series ad of star-shape ornamentations. Between and concentric with the said series of ornaments are ringdike ornaments e. The groundwork on the surface of the button provides or displays radiating lines or markings, as at g.
\Vhat I claim as new is" The design for a stair-carpet button herein shown and described.
