DESIGN FOR AN OPEN LINK.
SPECIFICATION forming part of Design No. 26,380, dated December 8, 1896. Application filed October 9, 1896. Serial No. 603,420. Term of patent 14 years.
Be it known that LXVILLIAM 1 IARDEX, a citizen of the United States, residing at Jamesport, in the county of Daviess and State of Missouri, have invented and produced a certain new and original Design for an Open Link; and 1 do declare the following to be a full, clear, and exact description of the invention, such as will enable others skilled in the art to which it appertains to make and use the same.
My invention relates to a design foran open link.
It relates in the entire configuration of the link.
My invent ion relates particularly to the open link, as illustrated in the accompanying drawings, in which Figure 1 is a perspective view of an open link embodying my design. Fig. 2 is a transverse section on the line 1 1, and Fig, 3 is a similar view on the line 2.
The leading features of my design appear in the following description.
A represenls the link, which is approximately elliptical in general shape, with its free ends on turned inwardly parallel to each other and in the same plane as the body of the link proper, as shown in the drawings.
The body of the link proper is cylindrical in cross-section, as shown in Fig. 2, whileihe ends a a are hemispherical in cross-section, as shown in Fig. 3, with their contiguous plane faces parallel to each other, as shown in Fig. 1.
