DESIGN FOR A SAFETY WlCK-TUBE.
SPECIFICATION forming part of Design No. 26,176, dated October 13, 1896.
Application filed August 21, 1896. Serial No. 603,541. Term of patent 7 years.
To all whom it may concern.-
Be it known that I, ROBERT H. SMITH, a citizen of the United States, residing at \Vashington, in the District of Columbia, have invented and produced a new and original De.
sign for Safety Wick-Tubes; and I do declare the following to be a full, clear, and exact description of the same, reference being bad to the accompanying drawing, forming a part thereof.
My invention has relation to a design for a safety wick-tube for kerosene-oil lamps.
It relates to the entire configuration of the wick-tube, and especially to a wick-tube constructed of reticulated material rectangular in cross-section and having the circular disk provided with an annular recess, as shown in the drawing.
My invention relates particularly to the safety-tube as illustrated in the accompanying drawing, in which the figure represents a perspective View of a safety-tube embodying my design.
The leading features of my design appear in the following description:
The tube 1 is made up of reticulated material and is rectangular-in cross-section, and the upper end terminates in a circular disk 2, having an annular recess 3 in its upper face.
Having thus fully described my design, what I claim as new, and desire to secure by Letters Patent of the United States, is-
The design for a safety wick-tube, substantially as herein shown and described.
