DESIGN FOR A PANEL FOR CEILINGS.
SPECIFICATION forming part of Design No. 25,886, dated August 4, 1896.
Application filed July 3, 1896. Serial No. 598,044. Term of patent 7 years.
To all whom it may concern:
Be it known that I, WILLIAM R. KINNEAR, a citizen of the United States, residing at (,olnmbns, in the county of Franklin and State of Ollio, have invented and produced a new and original Design for Panels for Ceilings, Walls, &c.; and I do hereby declare the following to be a full, clear, and exact description of the same, reference being had to the aeeompanying drawing, forming a part thereof.
The panel, as shown in the accompanying drawing, is substantially square in its contour, and around its edges is a line of spindle-work 1. Across one cornerare two curved lines i 2, which at their inner or adjacent ends terminate in small volutes and at their outer ends are prolonged into two scrolls which terminate the one in a rosette 3 and the other in a leaf 4. ln the space between the small scrolls is a con ventional bell-shaped 4flower from which extends curved beaded lines 5 and (i, the lines 5 terminating in the rosette 3 and the lines 6 terminating in halfrosettcs 7 at the middle of adjoining sides of the panel. ln the corner of the panel opposite the convex sides ofthe lilies 2 2 is aconventional double compound foliatcd scroll having for its origin a rosette S.
In the diagonally opposite corner ol' the panel is a group of triangular-shnped figures 9 of soseelcs form arranged side by side with their apexes together and having between them bars 10 with small knobs opposite their ends. Opposite thc middle of the group of triangular figures is a conventional Figure ll of the form of a flower.
\Vhat I claim, and desire to secure by Letters Patent, is-
The design for a panel for ceiling, side walls, dre., substantially as herein shown.
