DESIGN FOR A BOX-COVER.
SPECIFICATION forming part of Design No. 25,002, dated December 24, 1895.
Application filed May 9, 1895. Serial No. 548,773. Term of patent 7 years To all whmn it may concern.-
.lie it known that I, MAXMILIAN ERNST, a citizen of the United States, residing at Cleveland, in the county of Uuyahoga and State of Ohio, have invented and produced a new and original Design for Box-Covers, of which the following is a specification, referenee being had to the accompanying drawings, forming a part thereof.
Figure 1 is a picture of a box-cover made no eordin g to my design. Fig. 2 is a central vertieal section of the (rover applied to the box.
The lower portion of the box (L is tubular, and the upper portion thereof is solid, and the upper end of the solid portion is smaller in dimensions than the remaining portion of the cover, and has suitable external indentations and projections to form the head of a human figure. The cover Z) at the lower extremity of the head-representing portion has two laterally and outwardly projecting arms at the opposite sides, respectively, of the rover. Said arms of the cover have such outline as to represent the arms of ahnman figure, and one of the arms points downwardly.
The essential feature of my design eonsists in the formation of a human head-representing figure at the upper end of the box-cover and the two laterally and outwardly projecting arms below said head and at opposite sides, respectively, of the cover.
Vhat I claim is The design for a box cover herein shown and described.
In testimony whereof I sign this speeifieation, in the presence of two witnesses, this 6th day of May, 1895.
MAXMILIAN ERNST. \Vitnesses:
