F 5 II INVENTUR! Thomas VT Homloset,
BY Mm;
ATTORNEY WITNESSES: $0. 77.
UNITED STATES PATENT OFFICE.
THOMAS V. IIANDLOSER, OF NEW YORK, N. Y.
DESIGN FOR A FRAME FOR TRICYCLES.
SPECIFICATION forming part of Design No. 24,187, dated April 9, 1895.
Application filed November 30, 1894. Serial No. 530.484- Term of patent 14 years.
To all whom it may concern:
Be it known that I, THOMAS V. HANDLOSER, a citizen of the United States of America, residing at the city of New York, in the county and State of New York, have invented and produced a new and original Design for Frames for Velocipedes, of which the following is a specification, reference being had to the accompanying drawings.
The characteristic feature of my design consists in the shape or configuration of the unitary design, as shown in the accompanying drawings.
Figure 1 represents a perspective view taken from the front of the frame; and Fig. 2 is a similar view taken from the rear of the frame.
Numeral 1 designates the steering head of the framelocated centrally between two handle-bar heads 2 and 3. 4 and 5 are two saddle supports terminating below in brackets 66, and 7-7 are the two rear forks connected by bars 8-8 with the respective brackets 6-6 and laterally with each other by a rod 9. From the brackets 6-6 extend braces 10-10 which curve inwardly and upwardly and are connected to the steering head 1. From these braces project laterally curved branches 1l1l which connect respectively with the handle-bar heads 2 and 3. A substantially straight rod 12 connects the braces laterally. From above the forked portion of the rear forks project braces 13l3 which curve inwardly and then outwardly and connect with the respective heads 2 and 3. A brace 14 projecting from the point of intersection of the two braces 13-13 connects with the steeringhead 1. Short diagonal braces l515 may unite the rear forks and saddle supports.
What I claim as new is- The design for a velocipede frame, substantially as herein shown and described.
In testimony whereof I aflix my signature in the presence of two witnesses.
THOMAS V. HANDLOSER. Witnesses:
J. H. FRANKFURTER, GEORGE BRETTEL.
