DESIGN FOR A SPOON-HANDLE, 800.
SPECIFICATION forming part of Design No. 23,643, dated September 18, 1894.
Application filed August 6 1894. Serial No. 519,605. Term of patent '7 years.
To all whom it may concern:
Be it known that I, GEORGE W. SHIEBLER, a citizen of the United States, residing at Brooklyn, in the county of Kings and State of New York, have invented and produced a new and original Design for the Handles of Spoons and Forks, of which the following is a specification.
The leading feature of my design consists in the border of pear shaped ornaments and intermediate scroll ornaments inclined in opposite directions and of gradually decreasing size from the end toward the shank of the handle.
.In the drawings, Figure l, is a plan of the obverse side and Fig. 2 is a plan of the reverse side of a spoon or fork handle.
Upon the obverse side of the handle the pear shaped convex figures a, are along the opposite curved edges of the handle and they are inclined in opposite directions, and between these figures a are curved scroll ornaments 1). These ornaments are joined by scroll ornaments at the end of the handle.
Upon the reverse side of the handle the loop shaped ornaments o, with their concave recesses c are along the opposite curved edges of the handle and they are inclined in opposite directions and between them are the raised curved ornaments (1. These ornaments are joined by the scroll ornamentf, at the end of the handle.
What I claim is 1. The design for the handle of a spoon or fork herein shown and described.
2. In the design for the handle of a spoon or fork herein shown and described, the design of the obverse side of the handle, as set forth.
3. In the design for the handle of a spoon 40 or fork herein shown and described, the design of the reverse side of the handle, as set forth.
