No 23.580. Patented Aug. 21, 1894.
UNITED STATES PATENT OFFICE.
OLIVER D. WOODRUFF, OF SOUTHINGTON, CONNECTICUT.
DESIGN FOR A FRAME FOR MEAT-CUTTERS.
SPECIFICATION forming part of Design No. 23,580, dated August 21, 1894. Application filed July 9, 1894. Serial No. 517,016. Term of patent 14 years.
To all whom it may concern:
Be it known that I, OLIVER D. WOODRUFF, of Southington, in the county of Hartford and State of Connecticut, have invented a new Design for the Frame or Body of a Meat-Cutter; and I do hereby declare the following, when taken in connection with the accompanying drawings and the letters of reference marked thereon, to be a full, clear, and exact description of the same, and which said drawings constitute part of this specification, and represent,in
Figure 1, a view in front elevation; Fig. 2, a view in rear elevation; Fig. 3, a view in side elevation.
This invention relates to a design for the frames or bodies of portable meat-cutters, and the design consists in the configuration as shown in the accompanying illustration.
As herein shown, the design consists of a standard, composed of two legs C C, which merge into each other at their lower ends, the said legs being separated by a spear-shaped space D, which is seen when the standard is looked at from the front or rear. In side elevation the rear edges of the legs appear to coincide, and to be straight, while their forward edges appear to incline from front to rear at their upper ends, and to be straight at their lower ends. The forward edge of each leg has a flange E, standing at a right angle to it. The lower ends of the legs merge into an arm F, turned forward at a right angle to them, and carrying a clam ping-screw G, which is located below and between two horizontally arranged arms H H, respectively formed upon and projecting laterally outward beyond the said legs, and having the inner edges of their forward ends cut away, as at H.
As herein shown, the standard above described, depends from the lower face of the horizontally arranged barrel or chamber A, provided upon its upper face with a hopper B; but the essential feature of my design is the standard.
I claim The design for the frame or body of a meatcutter, as herein shown and described.
In testimony whereof I have signed this specification in the presence of two subscribing witnesses.
OLIVER D. WOODRUFF.
