My. aM/w $0M UNITED STATES PATENT OFFICE.
ULYSSES RACINE, OF PROVIDENCE, RIIODE ISLAND, ASSIGNOR TO \VA'lSON, NEIVELL & (70., OF ATTLEBOROUGII, MASSACHUSETTS.
DESIGN FOR A BOWL FOR SPOONS.
SPECIFICATION forming part of Design No. 22,699, dated August 15, 1893.
Application filed July 5, 1893. Serial No. 479,661. Term of patent 3% years.
To all whom it may concern.-
Be it known that I, ULYssEs RACINE, of Providence, in the county of Providence and State of Rhode Island, have invented and produced a new and original Design for the Bowls of Spoons and Similar Articles of which the following is a specification, reference being bad to the accompanying drawing, forming part thereof.
The leading features of my new design for bowls of spoons, &o., consist in the representation, within the bowl, of a merry-go-round, or double wheel, with cars, or carriages, suspended between the wheel-rims, the shaft of the wheel being shown as supported by a standard on one side, together with a group of grotesque Lilliputian human figures climbing about the lower portion of the wheel, some apparently falling therefrom.
In the drawing 2 represents the bowl of a spoon, and 3 is the handle of the same; within the bowl 3 is represented a double skeletonwheel 4 the shaft 5 of which is supported by the standards 6. Between the rims of the wheel are represented cars, or carriages, 7-7, and surrounding the lower portion of the wheel are represented Lilliputian human figures 88 in grotesque attitudes, some escaping from the wheel while others appear to be holding on to the same.
What I claim is- The design for a bowl for spoons and similar articles as herein shown and described.
In witness whereof I have hereunto set my hand.
ULYSSES RACINE.
