lEORGE M. HUBBARD, OF NEW HAVEN, CONNECTICUT, ASSIGNOR TO W. & E. T. FITCH, OF SAME PLACE.
DESIGN FOR A CLASP FOR BELTS.
SPECIFICATION forming part of Design No. 21,063, dated September 22, 1891.
Application filed August 31 1891. Serial No. 404,345. Term of patent 7 years.

Be it known that l, GEORGE M. HUBBARD, of New Haven, in the county of New Haven and State of Connecticut, haveinvented a new Dcsign for a Clasp for Belts, (Case 13;) and I do hereby declare the following, when taken in connection with accompanying drawings and the letters of reference marked thereon, to be a full, clear, and exact description of the same, and which said drawings constitute part of this specification, and represent, in
Figure 1, a face View of the two parts together; Fig. 2, a face view of the eye part detached; Fig. 3, a face view of the hook part detached.
This invention relates to a design for clasps for securing belts around the body, the design consisting in the ornamentation of the hookand-eye part of the clasp.
A represents the buckle or loop by which the eye part is secured to the belt, and ii the loop by which the hook part is secured to the belt. From the eye part is a projection representing a fleur-de-lis a, as seen in Fig. 2, and from the hook part ii is a projection representing a bar I), as seen in Fig. Il,and which when together represent a iieur-de-lis with a transverse bar or band interlaced tln-ril-with, as seen in Fig. 1.
I claim- The design fora clasp forbelts, as described, and shown in the accompanying illustrations.
