It is to be understood that the vertically arranged perforations on the decorative panel on the front of the lighter are uniformally spaced along the length of the horizontally aligned bands as best indicated in FIG. 1.

I claim: The ornamental design for a gas lighter for cigarettes and the like, substantially as shown and described.
