DESIGN FOR A BELT-CLASP.
SPECIFICATION forming part of Design No. 19,580, dated January Application filed December 20, 1889. Serial No. 334,445. Term of patent 7 years.
To all whom it may cancer-22 Be it known that I, FRANK J. llERRICK, a citizen of the United States, residing at New Britain, in the county of Hartford and State of Connecticut, have invented and prod need a new and original Design for Belt-(Haste, of which the following is a specification, reference being had to the accompanying drawings, forming a part thereof.
Figure 1 is a front View of a belt-clasp showing my design. Fig. 2 is a detail edge view of the same.
The leading feature of my design consists in the oblong loops a of metal, the surface of the loop sloping from a central ridge 1), that is not straight, but is irregular, extending completely around the loop in a zigzag line,
the surface on both sides of this central ridge being grooved, so that the edge of the loop presents around the outside an irregular serrated bounding line 0. On one edge of the loop appears a curved projection, and between the two members of the device extends a curved or hook-shaped engaging link d, the hooked ends of the link being passed through the open eye made by the lateral projections formed on the loops. hat I claim is- The design for a belt-clasp herein shown and described, substantially as described.
