D5210) Figure l is a front top perspective view of a letter scale or the like, showing my new design, the cap of the scale being shown in its inoperative position wherein it is connected to the upper end of the pedestal and serves to hold in a depressed position the spring biased graduated stem;

Figures 2 and 3 are, respectively, plan and side elevational views showing the cap in the same position as shown in Figure 1; and

Figure 4 is a front top perspective view showing the scale after the cap has been disconnected from the upper end of the pedestal and placed in an inverted position on the upper end of the stem.

I claim:

The ornamental design for a letter scale or the like, substantially as shown.
