DESIGN FOR A LAClNG-HOOK FOR BOOTS, SHOES, 80C.
SPECIFICATION forming part of Design No. 12,242, dated May 3, 1881.
Application tiled March 23, 153i.
To all whom it may concern Be it known that I, MELLEN BRAY, of Newton, in the county of Middlesex and State of Massachusetts, have invented a new and original Design for Laciug-Hooks t'or Boots and shoes, gloves, or other articles to receive the lacing-cord, and is clearly illustrated in the accompanying drawings, in which- Figure 1 is a perspective view of my improved hook. Fig.2 is a plan of the same,and Fig. 3 is a central vertical section.
The leading feature of my design is a hook having an outer head or disk,the outer face of which has formed therein a recess surrounded by a circular bead, and connected by a concavo-convex neckto an inner disk or flange, which rests upon the material when applied thereto for use; also, a hook having a head or disk, in the outer face of which is stamped or otherwise formed a. circular sunken recess, said disk being connected bya concavo-con vex neck at one side to a second disk or flange, which rests upon the material when applied thereto for use, and also provided with a cy- Ti-rm of patent H years.
