DESIGN FOR PADLOCKS.

Specification forming part of Design No. 10,913, dated November 19, 1878 application filed October 11, 1878. [Term of patent 14 years] To all whom it may concern:

Be it known that I, JOHN GERARD, of Trenton, New Jersey, have invented a new and original Design for a Padlock, of which the following is a specification My design for a padlock is fully shown in the accompanying drawing, in which are two views presenting the same characteristics as regards the feature which forms the subject of the design, but differing as regards minor ornamentation, which does not constitute apart of the said design, the latter consisting of a raised edging or border, b, following the outline of lock and shackle, and imparting a neat appearance to both.

I claim- The design fora padlock, consisting of aplain raised border on the lock-case and shackle, and following the outline of both, as described, and as illustrated in and by the accompanying drawing.
