UNITED STATES PATENT OFFICE:
J'AFEW S. VAN BUREN, OF WEST TROY, NEW YORK.
DESIGN FOR HEATING-STOVES.
Specification forming part of Design No. 10,796, dated September 3, 1878; application filed May 21, 1878.
[Term of patent 3% years.]
To all whom it may concern:
Be it known that I, J nnnw S. VAN BUREN, of West Troy, county of Albany, and State of New York, have invented a new and original Design for Heating-Stoves; and I do hereby declare that the following is a full, clear, and exact description thereof, reference being bad to the accompanying engraving or cut, making a part of this specification, in which is shown, in perspective View, my improved de' s1 gn.
My invention consists in the design for the leg 0, which has an outward rounding form at the top, upon which is formed the figure or design of aleaf, I. Just below the convex portion at the top the leg decreases in size, curves inward slightly, and then curves slightly outward, and is enlarged again at the bottom, with a number of upward and outward curting moldings, f ff, at each side, producing the arched form of opening between the legs, substantially as is shown.
Another part of my invention consists in the design for the magazine-section H, which is divided into two parts, h and h, the lower part, h, being octagonal in form, and is ornamented with adjustable plates 1* and columns 8 s s. The upper part, h, is cylindrical in form,
and is bordered at its lower end by an outward and downward inclined-plane surface, 3 partially plain, and at its upper end by an outward and upward curving molding, t, partially plain, and an upward and outward inclined corrugated surface, t.
Another part of my invention consists in the design for the urn K, which is provided upon opposite sides with the ornamental arms 1;, and at its lower end with the octagon base k and at the top with an ornament, k", and within the body of the urn the clock-dial w.
Having thus fully described my invention, what I claim as new is-- 1. The design for the leg 0, as shown and described.
2. The design for the magazine-section H, as shown and described.
3. The design for the urn K, as shown and described.
In testimony that I claim the foregoing l have hereunto set my hand this 13th day of May, 1878.
JAFEW S. VAN BUREN.
