Be 1t known that we, 'Vicnrxn l1`. Pinn- Lnr and Ham/'nr E. BAER, citizens of the UnitedStates, and residents of Lincoln, in thecounty oi?A Lancaster' and State of Nebraska, have invented certain new and use ful Improvements in Fans, of which the following is a specification.
Our invention is an improvement in fans. and consists in certain novel constructimis and coml'iinations of parts hereinafter described and claimed.
The object of the invention is to produce a device o'f the character specified, especially adapted for use in barber shops. beauty parlors, etc., which may be held in the hand and inanil'nilated about. the 'face and hair for drying thc same, andwhich ma)1 be operated in close proxin'iity to the face or hair without danger of injury to the person operated upon,

The said-regulator comprises I a shoe 47 engaging an enlargement 48 'of the armature'shaft, and supported by .aresilient bar 49 secured to the motor franie by one end, as at 5.0. The free en'd ofthe bar is bent over upon itself, as at 51and a- Screw 52 is threaded through the two portions ofthe bar. i The inner .end of the screvv engages the outer face of the/shoe and presses the said shoe against ,the enlargement, when the screw is turned, and the outer end ofthe screw isprovided with a milled head 58 for convenience in manipulating' the same. It vwill be understood that the clurent'conduct-- ing ortions of the apparatus are suitably insu ated from the remainder of the'. mecha'- nism.
