Be it known `that I, A. WILKE, of Brunswick,
` (Bfratmsclmaofigd Germany, have invented certain new and useful Improvements in IcelGreepers5 and I do hereby declare that the following is a full, clear, and exact description thereof, reference being had to `the accompanying drawings, makiugpart of this specification, and to the letters of reference marked thereon, like letters indicating like parts wherever they occur. l
i To enable others ,skilled in the art to construct and v use my invention, I will proceed to describe it.

The, nature of my iuvention consists iu a metallic ,-plate, suitably varranged-to` be `put on the heels of boots and shoes, and provided underneath with felt, for the purpose of preventing slipping ,whenrwalking on ice,
snow, and other smooth and slippery surfaces.

In place of pins a a and screw-piu F, other sintahle fasteuings may be attached tothe plate A, for the purpose of securing the samev tol the heeln The above-described Creeper, when put on the heel of a boot or shoe, prevents the person wearing itfrom slipping whenwalking on ice, snow, sleet, and other smooth and slippery surfaces .the felt being the best material for the purpose.
