XVELDEI? FABRIC.
Specification of Letters atent.
Application filed May 23, 1907. Seria-1 No. 375263.
To all whom it fino-y concern:
Be it known that I, CHARLES Swir'soon, of Clinton, in the county of Worcester and State of Massachusetts, have invented certain new and useful Improvements in vWelded Fabric, of which the following is a speci iieation.
This invention relates to a new and improved Welded fabric.
Figure l is a- View showing a section section of the fabric. Fig. 3 is a View showing the fabric arranged .in the form of a shell. Fig. et is a sectional View showing the fabric in the artificial stone.
l represents a series of metallic strand members. These may be wire or rods or bars of any desired size and cross section.
2 represents a series of stay members arranged upon the strand members and elec- 'trically Welded to the strand members at points '\ot intersection. rl`he metallicstay members 2, may beef wire` rods or bars of These any desired size and ero. section.y
. stay members as shown, are positioned upon the strand members in an uneven manner so that they occupy varying angles with relation to each other, some of the stay members being at right angles to the strand members and others at varying' angles, less or greater than a right angle. Y
In Fig. fl the binder is shown embedded in artificial stone l0.
Having thus explained the natineof my invention and described a Way of constructiupI and using the same, though Without at tempting to set 'forth all of the forms in which it may be made, or all of the modes of its use, what l claim and desire tosecure by VLetters Patent is )is a new article of manufacture, a welded fabric eomprisin` a plurality of metallic strand members and a plurality of sets of stay members, the stay members in each set.
being` arranged at an angle to each other, the stay members of each sety being'oppositely positioned upon the strand members from the stay members ot'the succeeding set4` and all oi: the said stay members being arranged on the same side or the strand members.
in testimony whereof l have atlixed my signature, in presence ol two Witnesses.
CHARLES SWYNSCOE.
