To all whom it may concer-n:

Be it known that I, GEERT Moulin, a citizen of the United States of America, residing at Zeeland, in the county of Ottawa and State of Michigan, have invented cert-ain new and useful Improvements in Silos; and I do hereby declare'the following to be a full, clear, and exactr description of the invention, such as will enable others skilled in the art to whichit appertainsv to make and use' the same. I

My invention relates to improvements in silos, and more particularly to the doors and adjacent parts thereof, and its object is to*- providel the same with various new and usc'' ful features hereinafter more fully described and "particularly pointed-out inthe claims, reference being had to the accompanying drawings, in which: v

Like numbers refer to like parts inall of the figures. l represents a portion of the body of the silo, preferably made of vertically disposed staves joined 'to each other by tongue and groove at their edges. This structure is surrounded by hoopsor bands 2, preferably of round rod provided with any convenientmeans of tightening the same'l (not shown) The staves are spaced' apart 'to form-a door opening wherever convenient and across this openlng at regular intervals corresponding to the intervals of the hoops or bands, are horizontal braces having an outer' surface concentric with the axis ofthe structurev and of somewhat greater radius to project outward therefrom a convenient distance, and Vin this outer surface is a deep groove 3Q to receive the respective band. These braces overlap the adjacent staves at the outer side and are secured thereto by bolts 4 and between the stavesthe Vbraces extend inward to the innersurface of the structure and are connected to the staves by tongues and grooves 11 and l2, wherebythe adjacent edges of the staves are securely held and connected to the braces, and therbraces also held thereby.

, The inner sides of the braces `a're preferably rectilinear and the braces are beveled inward to iit the beveled upward and lower' edges ofthe doors.` The respective doors consist of a seriesof strips, preferably three as shown, but any v4number may be used, joined. to' each otherI with tongues and Staves in like manner, as at l1 and 12.
