IMPROVED METALLIC REMEDY FOR RHEUMATISM.
The Schedule referred to in these Letters Patent and making part of the lame.
To all whom it may concern:
Be it known that I, Moses BERNHEIM, of the city, county, and State of New York, have invented a new and improved Metallic Remedy for Rheumatism, nervous, and all other diseases of kindred nature.
Figure A represents the metallic, remedy when fully finished.
Figure B represents a semicircular piece of zinc, with the interior out out.
Figure 0 represents a thin piece of woollen cloth.
To enable others to make my invention, I will describe its construction and application.
I take a thin piece of copper, and cut it the required size and shape, and then I take a 'thin piece otzinc, and cut it one-half the size and shape of the copper, and then I out from the interior, leaving the same about one-quarter of an inchin width, and then I take a piece of woollen cloth, and cut it the same size and shape as the copper; I then fold this woollen cloth over the zinc, and double the copper, and insert the zinc covered with the woollen cloth in the copper, and rivet the same together.
This metallic remedy must he soaked in salt and water twenty-four hours, and then placed on the spine, just below the neck, and to be worn there twenty-four hours, and then changedfor another that has also been soaked twenty-four hours in salt and water, and
