Be it known that l, Cotonou A. BLAKE, a eitizenof the United States, and resident of New Bedford, ristol county, State of Massal ehusetts, have invented certain new and usey l'ul improvements in Valves, of which the lollowil'xg is a speeilication.
'lhe present invention relates to improvements in valves particularly adapted lor use with lluid under relatively high pressure and l the primary object ol the invention iste prok i videa valve of this character that can be more readily repaired if necessary than valves of the saine type commonly in use.
A. further object of the invention is to provide such a. vulve which will be free from any objectionable noise or water hammer77 and will operate as quietly as do valves mating;I under ordinary pressures.
