Be it known that I, J ULrUs WEINBRECHT, a citizen of the United States, residing at Newark, in the county of Essex and State of New Jersey, have invented certain new and useful Improvements in Cigar-Tip Cutters, of which the following is a speciiication. This invention relates to means for clipping the ends from cigars, and the primary object of the present invention is to provide a novel, effective and compact device, which can be employed as a charm, a fob ornament or a pocket device, the cutting clement when not the casing and cutting blade.

In the embodiment illustrated, a housing 9 is employed, which is preferably of sonic ornamental forni, so that the device may be employed as an ornament to a fob, watch chain or the like; The particular shape and configuration of the said housing is not material. When said blade is in its innermost position, the lips 22 will be engaged in the notches 14,-consequently said blade Will be effectively held against accidental outward movement, and the device will thus constitute merely orna-A ment. when it is desired to use the cutter, the blade 16 is drawn outwardly, as shown in Fig. 2, the resistance oi' the spring tongue 2() and lips 22 being overcome by the manual force exerted in drawing 'the same. The disengagement of the lips 22 from the notches will of course e iect a slight lateral movement of the tongue, and this movement is permitted by the offset l5 in Vthe wall of the casing. From the foregoing, it is thought that the con irnotion, operation, and many advantages of the h .in described invention will be apparent to those skilled in the art without further description, and it will be understood that'various changes in the size, shape, proportion, and minor details of construction, may be resorted to without departing from the spirit or sacricing any of the advantages of the invention.
