In a workmans time-recorder, in combination, clockwork, printing mechanism driven therefrom, and means adapted to bring a record-receiving member into opera tive relation to said printing mechanism and form arecord thereon, said printing mechanism comprising type formed to print a record free from significant Arabic numerals and so disposed as to be in position for rinting u on actuation of the recorder out of iiours of la or whereby such actuation is recorded and the record thereof is free from significant Arabic rinting mechanism comprising type forme to rint time in Arabic numerals and so dis osed as to be in position upon actuation of t e recorder during a pe riod of labor for printingin Arabic numerals time with reference to a terminal point of [said period of labor.
