The Schedule referred to in these Letters. Patent and making part of the same.
To all whom it may coucer-n:
in such a manner that, by the action of these springs,
the weight will be removed fi-om the hands and arms of the persons using the same, and will rest on the wheel and axle of the barrow.
To enable others skilled in the art to make and use my invention, I will proceed to describe its construction and operation,
In the annexed drawings, forming part of this specification, A represents the body of a wheelbarrow, at-, tached to the ends of the shafts B by the springs D. These springs are fastened on the lower side of the shaft B, turned around. the front edge, and fastened to the top side of the front part of the barrow. By this means the centre of gravity of the load will be in front of the wheel 0 and axle of the barrow, thereby removing the weight from the shaft, and resting it on the wheel and axle. These springs D, which can be made of wood, iron, steel, 'or any other suitable material, may be placed at any po'nt between the wheel and the handles of the barrow, if desired; but in this case they must be reversed, and attached to the top of the shaft and bottom of the barrow.
These springs may be attached to any vehicle on Wheels for the conveyance of weights, freight, or pas sengers.
Having thus fully described my invention,
What I claim as new, and desire to secure by Let ters Patent, is-- The springs D, made of wood, iron, steel, or other suitable material, and attached to vehicles of any description, substantially as and for the purposes herein set forth.
