'ment in bracelets, and more particularly to an improvement in concealed hinges for bracelets.
,The object of my invention is to improvethe construction of a concealed hinge for bracelets, whereby the construction of the hinge is simplified and the cost of manufacturing the same reduced. v
A further object of my invention is to provide a bracelet with a strong and durable concealed hinge having a limited opening movement.
My invention consists in the peculiar and novel construction of a concealed hinge for bracelets, with details of construction, as will be more fully set forth hereinafter.
Figure 1 is a side view of-a bracelet provided with my improved concealed hinge and showing the bracelet in the closed position in full lines and in the open position in broken lines. Fig. 2 is an enlarged detail sectional view of the hinge end of the bracelet looking at the outside face of the hinge, Fig. 3 is an enlarged detail sectional view taken on line 3 3 of Fig. 2 and showing the hinge in the closed position. Fig. 4 is an enlarged detail sectional view similar to Fig. 3, showing the hinge in the open position. Fig. 5 is an enlarged detail edge view of one of the hinge members, and Fig. 6 is an enlarged detail view of the other member of the hinge looking at the inner face of the same.
In the drawings, d indicates one semi-oval half, the other semi-oval half, and f the improved concealed hinge of the bracelet. The semi-oval halves d and e are constructed from a tube which is oval in cross-section. The ends d and' 6 may be provided with any one of the well-known forms ofcatches adapted to hold the ends together when the bracelet is closed.

The hinge is assembled by placing the central arm 9 on the member 9 in the-opening k in the member h in a position for the sides h h of the opening to engage with the sides of the arm. 9 the edge 7L7 of the opening to engage with the inner concave face 9 of the arm and for the edge h of the opening toengage with the outer convex face g of the arm. The pin k is now driventhrough the holes in the member h over the concave face g of the arm 9 and secured in the member h.' The 5 members 9 and h of. the hinge are now forced into the ends (1 and e of the bracelet into a position where the center on which the hinge opens coincides with the juncture of the ends (1 and e of the bracelet. g and h ofthe hinge members are now secured in the ends (1 and c of the bracelet by solder or other means. When the bracelet is closed, a space is formed between the stoppin 7L5 and the hook-shaped end g of the arm IO 5 9 as shown in 3, which allows for a predetermined opemng movement of the bracelet, and this opening movement of the bracelet is limited by the hook-shaped end 9v on the arm 9 engaging with the stop-pin k on no the member h, as shown in Fig. 4.
