SPECIFICATION forming part of Letters Patent No. 750,252, dated January 26, 1904. `Application filed November 24, 1903. Serial No. 182,506. (No model.)
To all whom t muy concern:
Beit known that I, GEORGE F. BUSH, a citim zen of the United States, residing at Prcedale,
in the county of Westmoreland and State of Pennsylvania, have invented a new and useful Improvement in Fowl-Carriers, of which improvement the following is a specification.
My invention is in the nature of a fowl-carrier for carrying fowls; and the invention consists in the adaptation of parts, as will be hereinafter more fully set forth.
In the accompanying drawing, forming a part of the specification, the figure shows a plan view of this device.
A is a piece of cloth provided with three elongationsnviz., B, O, and D. B has a perforation at O for the purpose of admitting the head of the fowl in order that the fowl may carry its head in a natural position. O and D are lateral laps adapted to bend down over the wings of the fowl to keep it from apping them, and th extremities of the said flaps C and D are extended and adapted to tie securely the legs of the fowl. The handle E is attached longitudinally along the linear axis of the back at e and e, or, if desired, E may be omitted and the carrier be carried by the fingers being inserted in the holes f g L, &c. The holes are made for the purpose of getting a fore-and-aft grip to balance the fowl. The said fowlwrapper is operated by protruding the fowls head through the opening O and spreading the wrapper over the back of the fowl, then bending the side iiaps down over the wings and cloth, the said cloth is provided with three elongations, one in front and one on each side,
the one in front being perforated and the lateral flaps are provided with extended extremities; also the said cloth is perforated with a series of holes along the linear axis, as set forth and described.
2. A fowl-carrier consisting of a piece of cloth, the said cloth being provided with three elongations, viz: one in the front part thereof and provided with a perforation, and one on each side thereof provided with extended extremities; also the said cloth is provided with a handle attachment securely attached to each end along the linear axis of the device as set forth and described.
In testimony whereof I have hereunto affixed my signature in the presence of two subscribing witnesses.
