Be it known that I, GEORGE PRIDHAM, of Newark, in the county of Essex, and in the State of New Jersey, have invented 4certain new and useful Improvements in Device for Heldin deelare that the following is a full, clear, and exact description thereof, reference bein drawings, and to the letters of reference marked thereon.
In the annexed'drawings, making part of this specification, A represents a long, narrow box, made of metal, or other suitable material, having only a bottom and t\vo sides. The sides may be scalloped, or ornamented in any desirable manner, and sui''icientlywide apart to receive spools of cotton or silk between them. B repreg Spo'ols; and do hereby g lad to the accompanyng sents a bar, with a series of arms or pins, C C C', formed or seeuredupon one side of it. These arms or pins act as axes for the spools, andl'pass through the box, having bearings in its sides. e e represent the series of holes in the sides ofthe box to receive the pins C C. The eentrepin C is provide'd, on one end, with a screwthread. When the bar is supporting spools upon its arms or pins, as seen in iig. 1, a nut is passed over the threaded end of pin C', to secure the bar to the box, and in position.
By the use of this box and bar B, spools are conveniently held, and may be readily changed or shifted when it is desirable.
What I claim is, thev box A, in combination with the bar B, with its arms C C C", and used as and for the purpose set forth.
