SPECIFICATION forming part of Letters Patent No. 726,885, dated May 5, 1903. Application filed January 24, 1902. Serial No. 91,019. (No model.)
To all whom it may concern:
Be it known that I, JOHN D. DUNN, a subject of the King of Great Britain,residing at Los Angeles, in the county of Los Angeles and State of California, have invented certain new and useful Improvements in Golf orother fort than by means of the clubs now in use.
It consists, essentially, of such a club having a resilient face and the novel features more particularly pointed out in the claims.
Referring to the accompanying drawings,
Figure 1 shows the block or. central part of the core and the preferred method of covering the same. Fig. 2 shows the completed core, and Fig. 3 the core in position in the drivingface.
The block A is made of any suitable mate rial, preferably of medium hardness and some resiliency, as gutta-percha, and of suitable shape. It is then covered by being over- Wound with strands of soft elastic rubber.
