TO ALL WHOM IT'MAY CONGERN:
Beit known that we, C. K. BURKHOLDER and HENRY LEREW, oi"`Yo1-k Springs, in the county oi` Adams and State of Pennsylvania, have invented a. new and improved Machine fofRounding Fly-Net Straps; am we do hereby declare the following to be a full, clear, and exact 'description of the same, suicieut to enobl one skilled in the art to which the invention oppertains to make use of it,'i'efe1'ence being had'to the acconi panying drawings which form a part of this specification, and in whioh- Figure 1 is a vertical section on the line a: x, g. 2.

I Figure 8 isa section on the line y y, tig. 1.
Similar letters of reference indicate corresponding parte. 4 This machine has two jaws, one movable. To these are attached guides, whose apertures correspond wit] the square shape of the strap as itis fed into the machine, and knives, whosel 'semieirculaiunotchesgive thi required rounded form to the passing strap. v i
In the drawings, A represents a. board, table, or base, upon which are erected standands BB; In th latter is a stationary jaw, C, having a knife, D, and a, guide, E.A The movable jaw is journalled in thi standards B, and it is governed in its motions by the rod G, which depresses it and the spring I-I which raise it when the depressing power is withdrawn from the rod Gr. The movable jaw F is provided with a guide, I and. knife J, which correspond to the stationary guide F and knife I), and are, like the-latter, provided witl openings, to clasp and pare the passing strap. The notches in the adjacent faces of the guides E I, whel brought into correspondence, show a square opening about equal in size and sha-pe to the transverse section o the strap being operated uponwl1ile the notches in the knives D J show a. circulaliopening, throughwhich th strap is drawn to have its angular edges-trimmed 0H' or rounded; the edges of the knives being prcsente towards the strap which is drawn between them. i i u i Having described our invention, what we claim as new, and desire to secure by Letters Patent, isf- The combination of the notched knives D J, and guides E I, arranged and operating substantially a described. i p
