UNITED STATES PATENT OFFICE.
ERNEST WENIGMANN, OF NEW YORK, N. Y.
CHAMBER-VESSEL.
SPECIFICATION forming part of Letters Patent No. 474,617, dated May 10, 1892. Application filed February 5, 1892. Serial No. 420,467. (No model.)
To all whom it may concern.-
Be it known that I, ERNEST WENIGMANN, of New York city, New York, have invented an Improved Chamber-Vessel, of which the. following is a specification.
This invention relates to a chamber-vessel provided with several improvements; and it consists in the various features of construction more fully pointed out in the claims.
In the accompanying drawings, Figure l is a vertical central section of the vessel; Fig. 2, a top view of the same; Fig. 3, an end view of the seat and cover, and Fig. 4 a bottom view thereof.
The letter a represents the body of a chamher-vessel, which I make of oval form, in lieu of the usual circular form, in horizontal section-that is to say, the vessel is of elongated shape, rounded at one end a, and tapering toward the other end a The object of this form is to make the vessel more convenient for use by gentlemen.
Upon the rim a of the vessel (1, I place a curved seat 5, made in the form of a horseshoe, and which extends over the rounded half of the vessel. The seat may be covered by a suitable textile material, and it is seowed to the 11m a by means of a set of sprlngjaws b, that embrace such rim. To the seat b there is hinged a cover a, which is of a size to close over the entire vessel. This cover is provided with a thickened-end section 0, Fig. 3, which permits the cover to reach down upon the rim a where the latter is not covered by the seat. Thus it will be seen that the vessel may be tightly closed.
In addition to the usual handle cl the ves- V Witnesses:
