MINNIE MCGILLVROY, OF VANCOUVER, CANADA.
HAIR-TONIC.
SPECIFICATION forming part of Letters Patent No. 451,508, dated May 5, 1891.
Application filed February 10,1891. Serial No.38l,102. (No specimens.)
To all whom it hwy concern.
Be it known that I, MINNIE MGGILLVROY, a citizen of the United States, residing at Vancouver, in the Province of British Columbia, Canada, have invented a new and useful Hair- Tonic, of which the following is a specification. My invention relates to an improvement in hair restorers and invigorators; and it has for its object to provide a composition of matter that will be especially effective in the restoration of a laxity of hair on the heads of persons, as Well as to be an efficient tonic and invigorator, and also for preserving and restoring the natural color of the hair,
lVith these general objects in view my invention consists in the composition of matter formed by the following combination of elements combined in substantially the proportions specified, to wit: oil of onions, two ounces; oil of cabbage, two ounces; oil of parsley, one ounce; boraX, one dram; sulphur,
' one dram; sugar of lead, one-half dram; aquaammonia, one-half dram; salt, one ounce; alcohol, two ounces; bay rum, one ounce.
The above-named ingredients are mixed together in ordinary mechanical admixture and the completed compound is applied to the head in the usual manner of applying hair-tonics.
Having described my invention, what I claim, and desire to secure by Letters Patent,
The herein-described composition of matter for use as a hair restorer and invigorator, composed of oil of onions, oil of cabbage, oil of parsley, boraX, sulphur, sugar of lead, aqua ammonia, salt, alcohol, and bay-rum, combined in substantially the proportions specified.
