MUClLAGE-BRUSH SCRAPER.
SPECIFICATION forming part of Letters Patent No. 433,090, dated. July 29, 1890.
Application filed March 15, 1890. Serial No. 343,97'7J (No model.)
To all whom, it may concern.-
Be it known ihat I, WILLIAM CHESTER PHELPS, a citizen of the United States, rcsiding in the city and county of New York, and State of New York, have invented new and useful Improvements in Brush-Scrapers for Mucilage and other Bottles, of which the following is a specification.
The object of my invention is to provide a detachable brush-scraper placed at the base of the throat of mucilage, glue, or other hottles, whereby to clean the brush of superfinous gum at a point where it will not fill up the mouth of the bottle.
The device may be attached to any ordinary short-necked bottle, and is held in position in the manner hereinafter described.
The device, as shown by the accompanying drawings, to which reference is made, consists of a Wire or piece of metal, shaped like a figure 2, the lower or horizontal bar of which extends across the diameter of the throat of the bottle and forms the brush-scraper.
In the drawings, Figure 1 represents the brush-scraper when placed in position in the bottle for use, and Fig. 2 shows the same when detached.
