In the standard D area seriesofholes. (Shown at J,Fig. 2.) A brace, M, one end of which is secured to the end of the table-leaf and the other to the upper end ofthe standard F' by means of a slot and thumb screw., (show-n at 'N,) serves to secure the table at. any desired angle, as indicated by the dotted lines I I. By loosening' the thumb-screw N, the table B can be set at any desired angle andthere secured,
