T0 (ZZZ colbom 't mag. concern Be t known that we, FRANCIS S. Low and JOHN S. LEAKI, of Albany, in the county of Albany and State of New York, have invented a new and Improved CoolringStove, and we do hereby declare that the following is a full, clear, and exact description of the construction and operation of the same, reference being bad to the accompanying drawings, making part of this specification, in which- Figure l represents the body of a Stove after our construction, a portion of the top and. front plates being removed to show the interior arrangement. Fig. 2 represents the bottom, and front oven-plate detached.

Our oven g is upon the same, or nearly the same level as the fire charnber 72x, and is placed directly behind it. The top, bottom, and back plates of. the oven are arranged ata sufficient distance from the contignous outside plates of the Stove to form fines in the usual manner.

In t-he fine above the oven we place a valve or damper f f, which may be either a Sliding register as represented or .a common swing damper. This damper is placed in the rear of the fine and near the smoke pipe. When open, t allows the hot air from the fire Chamber to pass directly over the top of 'the oven to the smoke pipe. But when f f by the fine 6, 6, (Fig. 1) between the back plate of the oven and the baolrplate of the Stove, to the smoke pipe j.

lVe sometimes construct flues as described at both ends of the fire box, placing our fire doors in that case in front of the Stove.

What we claim as our invention and desire to secure by Letters Patent is The construction of a diving or descending fine at the end of the fire box, communicating with the flue beneath an` oven placed immediately behind and upon a level with the fire box, or nearly so.
