UNITED STATES PATENT OFFICE;
ROBERT GLOVER, OF GRAYVILLE, ASSIGNOR TO HIMSELFAND DAVID NEGLEY, OF WHITE COUNTY, ILLINOIS.
-' IMPROVEMENT IN HARVESTERS.
Specification forming part of Letters Patent No. 38.533, dated May 12, F613.
.To all whom it may concern.-
Be it known that I, ROBERT GLovER, of Grayville, White county, Illinois, have invented a new and useful Improvement in Harvesting-Machines; and I do hereby declare the following to be a full, clear, and exact description thereof, reference being had to the annexed drawing, making part of this specification.
A is the frame, supported in front on a single ground-wheel, B, whichis made to drive the operative parts in any approved way. The rear end of the frame is supported by a double-wheel caster ortruck, O. The tongue D is hinged to the frame in line with the axle of the ground-wheel, and is confined to a limited vertical oscillation by a staple, E. The finger-bar F is hinged to a rolling drag-bar, G, whose forward end is pivoted to a bracket, H, and whose rear end is pivoted in an arm, I, hinged at its other end to the frame. The perforated brackets H and J enable a limitation of descent of the heel of the finger-bar. This, in connection with a butt-hinge coupling of the finger-bar, enables said bar to be elevated clear of'the ground, so as to be applicable for cutting grain.
hinged in line with the axis of the ground wheel in the described connection with the finger-bar F, having a rolling drag-bar, G,
supported by arm I and brackets H J, the whole being combined and adapted to operate in the manner set forth.
In testimony of which invention I hereunto set my hand.
It. GLOVER.
