Be it known that I, DANIEL WARD, a citizen of the United States, residing at the town of Chadron, in the county of Dawes and State of Nebraska, have invented a new and useful Improvement'in Wagons; and I do hereby de: clare that the following is a full, clear, and exact description of the construction and operation of the same, referencebeing had to the annexed drawings, making a part of this specification, and to the letters and figures of refer, ence marked thereon.

Figure 1 is a representation of a plan view I of my wagon with thesupport tothetongue aunexed, and Fig. 2 a detached view of the same. The nature of myinvention consists in the construction and arrangement of devices 'for,

or pole, all constructed in any of theknown or' usual ways.

D represents the coupling or reach, and E the sand-board, which are also fastened in any of the known or usual ways; F, the king-bolt or couplingpin,which passes down through sandboard E, throughend of coupling or reach D, through axle A, andthen through end of support G.

G represents the support or.spring,which is made of s'pring-steehwith one or moreleaves,

which are fastened and held together by clamp or band N and also bolt 0. V

L is-v the rod or queen-bolt, which passes" "through the rear of tongue 0 andthe front-of houndsB B,for the purpose of holdingthem in their proper place.
