SPECIFICATION forming part of Letters Patent NO. 373,291, dated November 15, 1887.
Application filed June 1, 1887. Serial No. 239,993. (No model.)
To aZZ whom it may concern.-
Be it known that I, JOSEPH WILLOMON HIGGS, a citizen of the United States, residing at Meadville, in the county of Crawford and State of Pennsylvania, have invented certain new and useful Improvements in Nails, of which the following is a full, clear, and exact description, reference being had to the accompanying drawings, forming part of this specification, in which-- Figure 1 represents a perspective view of a nail embodying my invention. Fig. 2 is an enlarged sectional view of the head of the same. I
My invention relates to nails, spikes, and like devices; and it consists in forming in the head of said nail or spike a depressed or countersunk portion adapted to receive the point of a nail set or punch, as I will hereinafter fully describe and claim.
To enable others skilled in the art to make and use my invention, I will describe its construction and the manner in which the same is carried out.
