(Cl. 2!7311tl) This invention relates to a spinning toy device and may appropriately be termed a double twist, as two complementary parts constitute the device.

The said device may be made of any suitable material, preferably plastics.

In the drawing, forming part of this application, similar references indicate corresponding parts.

FIGURE 1 is a top plan view of the device.

Referring more particularly to the drawing, the numeral iii indicates a base.

Each complementary part consists of a casing or enclosure 27 or 27', the latter comprising said base 10, a floor 11, and on top thereof a swivelling member 15 having a round, flat surface and adapted for a roulette-like movement.

A short upright 16 separates said casings and imparts to the floor 11, which has one end resting on said upright, a downwardly slanting position.

The base is formed with a cut-out or outlet 25 as shown at both ends thereof in dotted lines.

The floor 11 is made with an opening 26, and the member 15 is formed with an opening 29 adapted in co-operation with the opening 26 to receive a ball before this is finally discharged through the outlet in the base 11 during operation of the device.

The member 15 is surrounded by a rim l2 and has the concentric walls 17, i8 and 19 forming channels therebetween.

The said cut-aways being, in turn, adapted to receive a ball 45 when the member 15 is spun around, before said ball subsequently, in turn, enters the openings 26, 2t? and the outlet 25.

In order to obtain an easy movement of the revolving disk or member 15, a small washer 39 is attached underneath the upper portion of the knob Si by means of said pin 31, said washer having a smooth lower surface.

If desired, a plate 40 of transparent material may be arranged on top of one of thecasings to form an enclosure of same. This plate is in this instance provided with openings 41 into which to drop a ball.

The game is played by disposing a ball 45 in the outer channel between the rim l2 and the wall 17.

By spinning the member 15 around by means of the knob 33 said ball is adapted subsequently to enter the openings, that is the cut-

The 'game is played by a party of two, and the party who within the same time has put his allotment of balls, generally five, through the device, that is, through the cut-aways in the walls, the openings in the floors, and the exit in the bottom, is the winner.

Having thus described my invention, what I claim as new, and desire to secure by Letters Patent of the United States, is:

l. A spinning toy device having two complementary parts, each part constituting a casing comprising a base, a floor, and at the top a swiveling member adapted to actuate a ball, said swiveling member having a plurality of concentric walls arranged therein and forming channels therebet-ween, said walls being made with cutaway portions to receive a ball, the latter being adapted to pass, in turn, through an opening in the bottom of said swiveling member, an opening in the floor, and an outlet in the base; a short upright separating said casings, the floor having one end resting upon said upright, whereby to impart to said floor a slanting position, a rim surrounding said swiveling member, and an operating knob secured to the latter, a cross-bar extending between said rim and the inner wall of the swiveling member, whereby to control the movement of the ball.

2. in a device as claimed in claim 1, a pin embedded in said knob and extending through the floor and into a stud secured to the base, and a washer, having a smooth lower surface and being fastened underneath said knob, whereby to facilitate an easy manipulation of the latter.

3. in a device as claimed in claim 1, a wall surrounding said two complementary parts, triangular pieces arranged between said wall and the respective casings, whereby to fill out the spaces therebe ween.

Claims

1. A SPINNING TOY DEVICE HAVING TWO COMPLEMENTARY PARTS, EACH PART CONSTITUTING A CASING COMPRISING A BASE, A FLOOR, AND AT THE TOP A SWIVELING MEMBER ADAPTED TO ACTUATE A BALL, SAID SWIVELING MEMBER HAVING A PLURALITY OF CONCENTRIC WALLS ARRANGED THEREIN AND FORMING CHANNELS THEREBETWEEN, SAID WALLS BEING MADE WITH CUT-AWAY PORTIONS TO RECEIVE A BALL, THE LATTER BEING ADAPTED TO PASS, IN TURN, THROUGH AN OPENING IN THE BOTTOM OF SAID SWIVELING MEMBER, AN OPENING IN THE FLOOR, AND AN OUTLET IN THE BASE; A SHORT UPRIGHT SEPARATING SAID CASINGS, THE FLOOR HAVING ONE END RESTING UPON SAID UPRIGHT, WHEREBY TO IMPART TO SAID FLOOR A SLANTING POSITION, ARIM SURROUNDING SAID SWIVELING MEMBER, AND AN OPERATING KNOB SECURED TO THE LATTER, A CROSS-BAR EXTENDING BETWEEN SAID RIM AND THE INNER WALL OF THE SWIVELING MEMBER, WHEREBY TO CONTROL THE MOVEMENT OF THE BALL.
