SKID-HOLDER.
SPECIFICATION forming part of Letters Patent No. 299,746, dated June 3, 188% To all whom it may concern.-
, and the invention consists ,of a device which is adapted to be hung on the end of a bolster v and supported on a wheel of a wagon, and is provided with projcctions,between which the end of a skid is to be placed to prevent it from slipping off the wheel, as hereinafter described and claimed.

ing its ends turned up to form projections F, between which the skid G is to be placed. The loop in the skid-holder is to fit closely over the end 0, to prevent the device from slipping about, and the under side-of the skidholder is to rest on the wheel H.
The construction of the skid-holder may be variously modified without departing from the spirit of my invention.
. What I claim is- 1. A skid-holder having means for attaching it to a part of a wagon, and provided with projections between which one end of a skid is to be placed, substantially as shown and described.
2. A skid-holder having an approximately V shaped form, and provided with a loop at its apex and with projections at its ends, substantially as and for the purpose specified.
3. The combination, with a wagon'bolster having means of attachment at its ends, of a skid holder adapted to be connected to said bolster and supported on a wheel of the wagon, substantially as and for the purpose set forth.
