SPECIFICATION forming'part of Letters Patent No. 292,434, dated January 22, 1884. Application filed July 17, 1883. (X0 model.)
.To all whom it may concern:
Be it known that I, .FREDERIcK A. HUBEL, of Detroit, in the county of Wayne and State of Michigan, have invented a new and useful Improvement in Machines for Stripping Gapsules, of which thefollowing is a specification. Figure 1 is a vertical section. Fig. 2 is a perspective of a portion of the machine shown in Fig. 1. Fig. 3 is an elevation, partly in section. Fig. 4 is an enlarged view of one of the clamps shown in Fig. 3. Fig. 5 is a detail view, showing one mode of fastening a moldpin to its plate. Fig. 6 is a horizontal'seetion through Fig. 1. 7
My invention relates to machines for stripping gelatine capsules from the mold-pins on which they are formed; and it consists, mainly, in the combination, with a plate carrying one or more capsule-mold pins so fastened thereto as to be movable laterally, of an inelastic clamp adapted to be closed'upon said pin or pins; and, secondly, in certain combinations, hereinafter pointed out in the claims.

B represents a follower-plate having grooves on its under side to receive and hold theedges of the plate D, and attached to a screw, 0, which works in a nut in the top of frame A and moves plate B. Screw 0 may be turned by an ordinary handwheel or lever attached thereto.
E, E, and E represent mold-pins attached to plate D, so that while firmly held by said plate they are capable of lateral motion. Pins E are attached to spring-wires F, which are socurely fastened to plate E, and pins E E are loosely fastened to plate D, in the manner shown in Fig. 5.
G G represent cleats on two opposite sides of frame A, forming ways in which the ends of the jaws J H slide.
h j represent cross-straps, h being fastened to the jaws H, and j being fastened to the jaws J. All the cross-straps h are fastened by a cross-piece which is pivoted to the connectingrod K, and all the cross-straps j are fastened to a cross-piece which is pivoted to the conneeting-rod L, as shown in Figs. 1 and 6.
