SPRING-ROLLER FOR WINDOW-SASH.

Specification of Letters Patent No. 26,830, dated January 17, 1860.

To all 'whom t 'may concern:

Be it known that I, CHiLLIoN F. BROWN, of the city of Bridgeport7 county of Faireld, and State of Connecticut, have invented a new and useful Sash-Supporter for lindowsg and I do hereby declare that the following is a t'ull and exact description thereof, reference being had to the accompanying drawings and to the letters of reference marked thereon.

The nature of my invention consists in attaching' to one of the sides of the window sash next to the window frame, two rollers with springs attached thereto.` one. of which is to be so set in a cavit)7 of the proper size near the top of the sash, and the other' in a cavity near the bottom of the sash-that the springs will 'constantly press the rollers against the sills of the window frame and thus prevent the sash from settling, as well as facilitate the raising and lowering of the same, and at the saine time prevent the sash from dropping down when left up at any desired height.

To enable others skilled in the art to make and use my invention I will describe its construction and operation.
