This invention relates to swingslwhich may be made of any desired size, but is "particularly adapted to be made-of wire and 6f-small size for dolls, or' the like.

:Theiprincipal object of this invention "is to provide a swing made entirely of wire which may be adjusted to extended position for use and which; may be collapsedso that it will occupy but. little space for storage or shipping.

Other objects are to provide a doll swing which will be neat and attractive in appearance, which will be durable in use and which may be made at a comparatively low cost and which will have such further novel features and advantages as will appear more fully hereinafter.

Fig. 1 is a side View showing the swing in operative position;

Fig. 3 is a side view showing the parts partly collapsed or folded; and

Fig. 4 is a side View showing the parts in final collapsed position.

As shown in these drawings, the swing comprises a supporting frame with the swing proper or movable parts swingingly attached thereto. The main frame comprises a back section 6 formed of a single piece of wire having a bottom horizontal portion 1, sides 8 and horizontal top rod or bar 9. The ends of the wire may be buttwelded or otherwise fastened together. The front section It! is also preferably formed of a single piece of wire and has a horizontal portion l l with upwardly extending sides l2 having eyes 13 which engage with the top bar or support 9 to provide a hinge between the frame members. Tie rods or braces 14 are pivotally connected with the bottom section or reach 7 by means of eyes l and also have eyes or loops it which slidably engage with the side members H.

The swing proper has a substantially U-shaped frame [1 formed of wire with a horizontal reach l8 and vertical portions I9 which are provided with eyes 28 for engagement with the supporting bar 9.

The side bars l9 are provided with washers or bearings 2| which may be welded thereto and which are engaged by rod 22 forming a part of the seat 23. The seat has a back panel made with an outer portion having a horizontal section 24 and sides 25 which are united by a curved portion 25 as shown in Fig. 2. The back panel also has a plurality of U-shaped wires 21 and 28 having their lower ends welded to the horizontal sec-- 3 Claims. The seat -bottom is ipivotally connected @to the horizontal bar or section 24 by means of washers or bearings 33 which are welded to the sides 3! and engage with such bar. The seat is also provided with a plurality of cross rods 34 which are welded to the sides 3| and complete the seat proper.

When the swing is adjusted to normal or operative position, the various parts will be arranged as shown in Figs. 1 and 2 as will be readily understood therefrom. When the swing is to be folded or collapsed, the hooks 32 are disengaged from the horizontal bar or section 24 and swung downwardly and forwardly until the ends of the side rods 3| can be swung up in front of the bar and over the same as indicated in dotted lines in Fig. 1. The bottom and back portions of the seat may then be brought into substantial alignment as shown in Fig. 3 and swung against the horizontal bar Ill. The loops is are then slid upwardly along the sides 12 and the lower ends of the frames 6 and Ill brought together until all of the parts are folded flat together as shown in Fig. 4.

While I have shown and described a preferred form of my invention as adapted for commercial use, it will be noted that changes may be made in the sizes and styling of the same without departing from the spirit of the invention as set forth in the following claims in which I claim:

1. A device of the character set forth, consisting of a substantially rectangular frame formed of wire, a second frame formed of wire having a horizontal reach and having two side pieces pivotally connected to the top of the first frame, tie rods pivotally connected to the bottom of the first frame and slidably connected with the sides of the second frame, a swing formed of wire having a horizontal portion and sides extending up to the top of the first frame and pivotally connected therewith, a seat back pivotally connected with the sides of the swing at a short distance above the lower end thereof, a seat bottom pivotally connected with the lower portion of the back and having arms extending rearwardly which are provided with hooks for engagement with the lower horizontal portion of the swing, the arrangement being such that when the hooks are tion.
