This invention relates to a colostomy irrigator. The object of the invention is to provide a colostomy irrigator which is of simple construction, is sanitary in use, and which will retain the irri- 3 Claims. (Cl. 128-283) tween the body of the user and the valve head 8.

3.- A colostomy irrigator, comprising a sealing tube having an inner. end adaptedto be-pressed against the body of a user, the outer end of the sealing tube being beveled at an angle of about 45, a discharge tube having its upper end beveled at an angle of about 45 and connected to the beveled outer end of the sealing tube, the sealing tube and discharge tube being of substantially the same diameter, and a valve slidable in the sealing'tube, saidvaive having, a Valvehead and a hollow valve'stem, the valveestem beingslidable in an opening provided in the wall of the upper end of the discharge tube, the hollow valve stem being adapted to receive a catheter for supplying irrigating fluid, the valve head being cylindricalzand conf'orminglto the shape of the upper end-ofi' thedischarge tube, the valve head, when inlits innerposition, retaining irrigating fluid in the sealing tube,V and when in its outer position, sealing the opening in which the valve stem slides but allowing discharge of irrigating fluid and fecal matter through the discharge tube.
