To all whom it may concern:
Be it known that I, WILLIAMSON NIoHoLs, of the county of Floyd and State of Georgia, have invented a new and useful Improved Iron Plow; and I do hereby declare that the following is a full, clear, and exact description of the construction and operation of the same, reference being had tothe annexed drawings, making a part of this specification.
In the drawings, Figure 1 represents aside View of the plow, and Fig. 2 a birds-eye View.
a is the point of the foot of the stock. Between letter a and dotted lines, letter I), the foot is solid; 0, rivet securing the lower part of the beam to the foot; cl, an iron rod connecting the handles.
From letter I) tojust above Figs. 1, 2, and 3 there is an open space all the way to let in the beam. From this point, the open space continuing, the handles branch off.
0 is a bolt to attach the plow to the stock.
Figs. 1, 2, and 3 are holes to regulate the depth of the plow when in operation by lowering or elevating the beam, thereby slanting or making the foot more erect.
f is a clevis, attached to the end ofthe beam by bolts 4 and 5. At Fig. 4c the beam is widened, and contains three holes, g, directly across the same, so that by changing the bolt the plow is so regulated that when in operation you can either plow to or from whatever is worked. Any kind of a plow can be used to this stock.
What I claim is- The arrangement of the forked beam G, segmental head F, holes g, bolts 4 and 5, olevisf, stock H, handles. Lrivet 0, and holes 1 2 3, the whole being constructed in the manner and for the purposes set forth.
