1 Claim.

This invention relates to article holders and more particularly to the provision of a holder of economical construction which will be highly efficient in use.

Another object of this invention i the provision in article holders ofa novel ornamentation adapted to overlie the pocket formation provided in the holder. g

A further object of the present invention is the provision of a novel pin-up pad holder which will be relatively simple to manufacture and effective for numerous uses.

Other objects and advantages residing in the present invention will appear more fully in the light of the fonowing specification in view of the d awing in which Fig. l is a front elevational view of my new article holder;

Fig. 3 is a fragmentary perspective detail of my new holder with a portion thereof folded back to disclose the pocket formation; and

Fig, 4 is a fragmentary perspective detail of the back side of my article holder showing the hanger means employed therein,

Referring to the drawing, the article holder is generally indicated at ID and comprises a back member H for'med of a fibre or paper dish having one-half of a like dish l2 disposed thereon with the concave portions of the two dishes facing eaoh other. The segmental portion of the dish 12 is secured to the back member I l by ornamental lacing or stitching I3 along the annular flanges Id of the two dish element H and I2. 'I he upper edge l5 of the segmental front wall 12 is disposed substantially in the plane of a horirental axis struck across the back member ll so that a substantial portion of the back plate it extends above the top edge [5 of the front member l2 thereby providing an opening it to a pocket formation 11 wherein there may be stored arti'cl es such as pads utilized in kitchens for ras ing the handles of cooking utensils or fabric dish coverings commonly used to cover containers of food stuif in ice boxes.

The holder i completed by providing a closure member l8 consisting of a configuration depicting the head 59 of a doll which may be cut out of pasteboard. Attached to the lower edge of this member Is i a skirting 29 of gingham cloth or the like which has the appearance of being a smock or other apparel worn by the doll. This assembly of the head and skirting is then sewed or otherwise fixed to the upper edge of the back member I I along the flange portion [4' thereof so that the skirting 20 will flare out and overhang the opening N5 of the holder and be draped down over the front face of the holder,

The skirting 20 heretofore described provides a covering for the opening I 6 of the holder pocket H to conceal the contents of the article holder as wellas to provide a dust cap for the pocket.

The holder It may be suspended from a hook with the wall upon which it is to be mounted and any suitable mean such as a tack, nail or screw fastened through the recessed wall II to support the holder on the wall.

From the foregoing description it is apparent that I have provided a novel article holder for use in kitchens and for other utility rooms and that I have provided a novel arrangement of parts which will result in an article holder of a wide range of utility, and that such arrangement as I have herein disclosed provides a holder having sanitary feature as well as neatness in appearance.

It is contemplated that such holders as herein described may be employed for numerous purposes other than those herein explained and for this reason I desire to avail myself of all the modifications and arrangements coming within the scope of my invention.

While I have illustrated and described the preferred form of construction for carrying my in- Vention into effect, this is capable of variation and modification Without departing from the spirit of the invention. I, therefore, do not wish to be limited to the precise details of construction set forth, but desire to avail myself of such variations and modifications as come within the scope of the appended claim.

Having thus described my invention, what I claim as new and desire to protect by Letters Patent is:

In a pin-up article holder comprising a relatively stiff circular fabric plate having a concave form, a semicircular segment of a second relatively stiff fabric plate of a like form and arranged on said first-named plate with the edges thereof abutting the edges of the first-named p ate and with the concave portions of each plate exposed to each other in spaced relation with respect to each other, forming a non-collapsible pocket having an open upper end with a portion of aid first-named plate extending a substantial distance above "the upper edge of the secondnamed plate, and means for securing the two plates in the aforesaid relationship with respect to each others ANNA V.
